Wealth Professional are delighted to announce Scottish Rugby International, Luke Crosbie, as a brand ambassador. Hailing from Livingston Luke Crosbie has risen through the rugby ranks to play at the highest-level.
He, by his own admission, did not follow the ‘traditional’ path to professional rugby having found rugby at his local club team, Livingston RFC, through his hard work and dedication Luke progressed to Currie RFC, who were playing in the top amateur league at the time, where he made his Senior 1st Team debut at only 17. After several impressive performances for the capital side, he was picked up by the Scottish Rugby Academy, which aims to identify young talented rugby players and help them progress.
Thereafter he caught the attention of national selectors and was subsequently drafted into the Scotland U20 squad for the 2017 World Rugby U20 Championship in Georgia. Luke played a pivotal role in helping the squad achieve its highest-ever finish of fifth only losing to New Zealand U20s who would go on to win the tournament. Off the back of his success on the world stage, Luke was rewarded with a professional contract with his boyhood club, Edinburgh Rugby, where he made his debut in October 2017 in a victory over Zebre.
He has since gone on to achieve over 50 appearances and is closing in on a century of caps! Through impressing at a national level Luke's career highlight thus far was achieving his first Scotland Cap against Tonga at a packed BT Murrayfield.
Luke has since gone on to captain Scotland ‘A’ against Chile in the 2022 Summer Tour. Committing to his dream of being a professional rugby player day after day regardless of external pressures is what makes him stand out and shows extreme discipline.
